S T A I N [ e d ]

the hatred is need
not the person
i envy them
their appointment
in comparison to mine
it appears more lovely
to hold hands
than wash clothes
but then i SLEEP
and remember what
it means to wash hands
what it means to be
then washed again
envy becomes grief
hatred an out of stock
to truth
no matter what is
perceived as dirty
nor in need of wash
i surrender before
the cycle
selecting warm
i spin to face you
unable to dissolve
the stains
in every release
i still love only you
